Very authentic korean food. The staff was very friendly and came around quite frequently to check if everything was ok. We ordered the bibimbap and soon tofu and both dishes were delicious. Would definitely come by again!
Good service, good food, cozy atmosphere.
Good service and good foods. Especially, free Korean pancake appetizer is excellent. Restroom needs to be cleaned.
Best Korean restaurant around. Everything here is good, at least everything we tried. Their tofu stew dish here is definitely better than Tofu House. The squid rice is also excellent.
Too clouded...it is Korean restaurant filled with Chinese
Visit here now and then with a lunch group of retired men. Nice menu. I try a different item each time, some more appreciated than others. Small dining area, attractive design and very large yet busy parking lot.
Family style Korean restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. Very consistent and good service.
My kids' favorite Korean restaurant! Very authentic tofu and rice with generous side dishes. Oh and the seafood pancakes are so good.
Racist place. They serve well only to Korean or white people.Took about 40 mins to take order, and it took another 45 mins to serve all the food but for other customers, they were serving much faster. When they brought our last dish, they brought our bill as well. Very offensive and rude.
I had soft tofu soup and cold nangmyun. They have very authentic and great tasting Korean food. I loved food.
A restaurant that you can trust.
Seafood pancake and BBQ prime lib are my favorite. Very friendly atmosphere. I love this place.
Friendly service, and the food is always great. Family owned! Try the galbi, it's for your own good.
Best Korean around. Very authentic! Always great service!
Delicious authentic korean food.
Pros: Great service, pleasant atmosphere, quiet enough that one could hear others at the table without shouting, which itslef is a unique experience in this town, enormous wine list. Cons: Pass on the creamed spinach, it's terrible, they should relearn the recipe from any Lawry's restaurant, a little too dark, couldn't see my steak to cut it.
Kaya is my goto spot for great authentic Korean food. Probably the best I've had outside Korea. The staff are always nice and helpful. The decor is unique and very interesting.
My wife and I have come to eat here a lot over the past couple years. The soon du bu is my favorite in Irvine. They give a lot of side dishes and I've never had a problem with the service.
I personally enjoy the food here as they are very authentic. The soon tofu is pretty good as well as some of the other dishes.
Extremely pushy staff. Harassed our table 3 times for a tip before we were even finished eating.
Good Korean food.
The food came out very hot and tasted very good. The waitresses also provided good service.
Love the place for the food. We make regular visits here, but the service could be better.
Great neighborhood Korean place. You know it's authentic when majority of its customers are Asians. My friend introduced me to this place and I occasionally come here when I'm in a mood for Korean dishes.
Korean restaurant
I used to come here quite often because the food was really good/authentic and it wasn't very crowded. Lately, I've noticed the food became a bit bland and the quality has gone down. It's quite a shame or else it'd still be one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Irvine.
My new go to place for soondubu. The banchan is excellent.
Asking to add more tips to 15% at lunch time, isn't that customers can decide to give the certain amount of tips? Feel bad and not going back to that place
Amazing and authentic Korean food. I have been to South Korea, and this tastes just as good if not better that what you can get there. They give you plenty of traditional Korean appetizers, without even asking and free of charge. Also the bibimbop is an A+
Friendly service and great food
It was pretty good and it's a mom and pop shop. The side dishes were better made than most of the Korean places I have been to. My gf ordered the stone bowl bibimbap and it was great. I ordered the cold buckwheat noodles and it wasn't that impressive. Overall I would recommend.. Just not their noodles
Always a great place when ever you crave Korean food! The side dishes are my favorite.
Service was excellent. Boyfriend loved the food. I'm not super into kimchi and beef at the moment, but great service.
This is one of my favorite go-to Korean restaurants for flavors from my childhood. I like the variety of the side dishes which always seem fresh. The veggie pancake side is a nice treat. Favorites on the menu include the bulgogi, yookgejang (spicy beef soup), soft tofu soup, kalgooksu (hand-cut noodle soup). Prices are reasonable and service is typical for most Korean restaurants (responsive, but not overly attentive).
It has been a really long time since I ate in this restaurant. However, I can only dream this in my dream now since I left USA for a long long time. The Korean food inside is authentic Korean food. They have serveral small traditional dishes for customers. You can always refill them. It's just way tooooo delicious. I love the stone rice, the tofu soup, the pancake, the fish, the BBQ, and everything there. I miss it sooooooo much.
Family owned and great food. Best Tofu Soup in Irvine. Stews and Kalbi also terrific.
Super friendly service, with really fresh food, decent sized servings at a fair price. My first time there, I will be back.
Good tast but notmal service. Not bad Korean restaurant
Tried this restaurant close to our Marriott and it was excellent. I had the Cubano which was very good and my wife had the Bistec, skirt steak with onions came with veggies and rice and beans.
The combination is good. Seafood is not good
Food quality is so low and they just buy from market and cook. how unprofessional restaurant. We won't be there. Also very expensive.
This spot knows how to satisfy their clients. Always with a very nice attitude. The food is fairly priced, regularly tasty and clean.
Ordered ahead for Soon Dooboo (soft tofu) takeout. Couldn't believe how well they packaged it. You won't be disappointed in their portions. The freshly made, crispy vegetable pancake is the Bomb.
The side dishes were delicious. I ordered mushroom soup that was served as it was boiling. I mixed the raw egg that came in a separate plate with the soup and after stirring, the soup got a thicker texture.
It might not be the largest Korian restaurant but it may be the best. The Soft Tofu Stew, Bi Bim Bap, and Bulgogi are amazing. Sides are great too. Friendly staff. Also, there's rairly a long wait. Been going here for 4 years now and it's always a treat.
Had octopus mimibap, pretty good. $$, a bit pricy
It was terrible. The service was worst ever. Employee was so rude and bad. Also, food isn’t tasty. Kimchi was worse than other restaurant. Next time, I’ll never go there. It was my worst restaurant ever.
Vegan tofu spicy soup and rice great on a chilly day!
BEST place for sundubu-jigae in Orange County. Much better and more flavorful broth than the watered down stuff served at BCD. Plus the side dishes are delicious. Only drawback is quite slow service sometimes. It's annoying but it doesn't stop be from regularly visiting.
Good Korean food. Good side dishes. Probably the best all around option for Korean food flavor wise in Irvine. Reasonable prices too. Only downside is it's hard to find from Culver and the parking lot is the worst in terms of sizes of spots.
